About the Role
Aforza is looking for a Mid to Senior Software Engineer to join our Salesforce engineering team, located in Cardiff, where you will be working with a friendly team of highly talented engineers building out Aforza’s industry-leading cloud solutions.
In this role, you’ll be working across the full stack of our Aforza Salesforce products, an advanced Retail Execution and Trade Promotion Management solution, and have the opportunity to work on both frontend and backend.
You will be involved in the entire development lifecycle, from design and analysis to development and testing of new features. The ideal candidate will be eager to join a fast-paced, dynamic environment where every employee has a direct impact on the company’s success.
Tech Stack
At Aforza we use the latest, cutting edge, Salesforce technologies. These include Lightning Web Components (JS/CSS/HTML), APEX (OO language similar to Java / C#), and SOQL (SQL). The ideal candidate will either have familiarity with these technologies or similar stacks.
Along with these traditional technologies, we are also integrated with several different areas of the Aforza stack, including Studio (GCP / Node.js / Kubernetes), Aforza Field (ReactNative), and Aforza AI (OpenAI). Being able to understand and talk to these different services would be beneficial.
What You'll Do
- Develop new frontend and backend features on Aforza Consumer Goods
- Develop Restful APIs in APEX
- Build new features on our LWC web UI
- Write unit tests using Jest and APEX Tests
- Perform code reviews on the team’s pull requests
- Take part in all aspects of SCRUM, including sprint planning, reviews, retros and backlog estimation
What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineer who is now looking to embark on a new challenge with an amazing team of engineers. Ideally you are someone who has:
- Experience with Salesforce technologies
- Ideally holds multiple Salesforce certifications
- Strong frontend development experience building beautiful UIs using web technologies
- Backend development experience in APEX or Java / C#
- Experience with SOQL or SQL databases
- Experience structuring and developing REST APIs
- Good understanding of unit testing frameworks
- Ability to identify areas of code improvement and opportunities to refactor

Our Interview Process
- A 30 min intro call with an Engineering Manager
- A 1-2 hour interview with an Engineering Manager and a senior engineer. This will either be in person in our Cardiff office or remote over Google Meet. We will ask you questions on your experience and history and dive into your technical skills.
- Two 30 min final stage interviews with our Executive Leadership, including our CEO and Chief Product Officer.
